This was a bit of a last-minute affair. Little Dread was booked to DJ some reggae at Hot Mama's that night, but had to cancel, so we stepped in. The session was effectively to celebrate Alan finally recording recording his busking album (which happened a few days earlier with exactly the same crew, minus Cool Vibes), as well as my leaving Aotearoa. The fact that we managed to reassemble the group of seven who'd been involved in Alan's recording was something of a minor miracle.
We played three hours without a break, no setlist, no plan, just vibes. Here is our hastily-constructed poster.
"Guidance", "Higher Grow", "Rebelution Rebelation", "Maugha Mountain" and "Busking" are all Alan's songs.
"Naletsana" is a traditional Botswanan riddle put to music by Judah.
"Redemption Song", "Time Will Tell", "Exodus" and "Punky Reggae Party" are the Bob Marley songs.
"Run Run Run" and "Hey There" are by Cool Vibes (I'm guessing)
